It is always heartbreaking when a dog disappears. You do your best and you look for them everywhere, but sometimes you think that your beloved pet could disappear forever. But sometimes miracles happen and dogs return in unexpected ways even after a long absence. That was the case recently after a woman was reunited with her dog after nearly a year of separation. Lisa Raulerson of West Palm Beach, Fla. Loves her puppy Sparky like a family: “My husband died 11 years ago and he was with us through all of this, so he was a huge part of our family,” she told WPTV.
So in October 2020 he was devastated a rainy day when he accidentally rested his door and got up with brightness. In an instant, Sparky disappeared without a trace. The family searched nonstop for weeks, handing out flyers throughout the neighborhood, but still couldn’t find his beloved dog. Unfortunately, they feared for the worst: Sparky was 15 years old and partially deaf, WECTV reported when he did not appear when he did not appear that he had thought that his dog had died.
Almost a year later, however, Lisa was browsing Facebook when she saw a surprisingly familiar face. It was a Sunshine State Westie Rescue post that featured a photo of a stray dog that had been taken away. Despite the fact that more than 11 months had passed and the dog was dirty and matted, there was no question: the dog was Sparky.
Sunshine State Westie Rescue mail said they picked up the dog as a stray in Palm Beach County. The description of an older dog with poor eyesight fits Sparky perfectly. According to WPTV, the rescue team picked him up from an animal shelter shortly before he was euthanized. The shelter gave Sparky some love and care, but they had no information to help locate the owners. It’s a miracle Lisa found the Facebook post by chance. Lisa contacted the ambulance, and after 331 days, they were finally reunited.
