A group of dog lovers are hailed as heroes after the now-viral footage shows them aboard a small plane with 27 puppies. The adorable dogs were about to be euthanized, but the three women stepped forward and saved them all in the cutest rescue mission we’ve seen in a long time!
The video that first appeared on TikTok was recorded by Cassandra Bergeron, the woman in charge of the rescue, and shared online. The images, taken a few weeks ago, show scenes from the roughly 45-minute rescue flight from Alabama to Florida.
“Guess how many puppies we saved?” the video signature is. Then, lots of happy puppies can be seen wagging their tails and cuddling with the heroes who saved them. The moving images received more than 13.5 million views on TikTok alone.
“I was completely happy. I didn’t want to land, ”Cassandra told DailyPaws. “I couldn’t stop smiling all the time.”
Rescue flight! All puppies have been adopted 🥰
The life-saving rescue was made possible after Cassandra received a call from a friend who told her to save these puppies. They must be euthanized due to the overcrowding of the shelter. Cassandra and two of her friends rushed to save innocent lives and approached Michael Young, a pilot and professor at the University of Central Florida. The right contact, because he saved more than 7,000 animal shelter dogs as a volunteer with Alabama Puppy Rescue Flights.
After everyone joined in, 27 cute puppies were rescued from the Enterprise animal shelter and taken to various Orlando animal shelters. All the puppies have been adopted since the rescue! During the rescue, Cassandra recorded several videos, one more beautiful than the other!
