When She Was Rescued From The Shelter, The Dog Weighed Just 4 Pounds, And Her Urine Has Already Soaked

Puppy weight ranges between 2 and 6 pounds. However, have you ever seen an adult dog that was just 4 pounds? The Trio Animal Foundation in Chicago received a four-pound dog as a donation. The dog was blind and covered in matted fur. She couldn’t stand up since she was covered in urine. She was sent to a vet who works with the Trio Animal Foundation to receive treatment.

The dog, a Shih Tzu at the time named Liz, had a very low body temperature that was undetectable by thermometers. Liz weighed just four pounds, which is far lower than the 9–12 pounds that an adult Shih Tzu should weigh naturally.

Being still alive, she defied logic! After they had been with her for a bit, her body temperature started to increase. She received some drinks and chicken pieces.

She progressively got better, although she was still unable to stand after a few days. Nobody knows who attacked Liz; a kind Samaritan brought her to the shelter.
