We all have numerous friends over the course of our lives, but only a small number of them are true friends who are willing to help when you need it. At some time, friends can become just as important as family members, and having such friends is critical for everyone’s pleasure. Not only humans, but many other animals, have proven to be some of our best pals.
Dogs and cats are cherished pets for many people, and they’ve seen firsthand the good impact they’ve had on their lives. The same holds true for us. Horses are our closest buddies, and I believe we all enjoy having them in our lives. If we are feeling depressed, all it takes is a horse ride to quickly make us feel better, and I am grateful that we have them to make us feel this way.
The video below depicts an interesting friendship. Donnie MacAdams, 58, lives on Rough Terrain Farm in Vermont. Waco Hanover’s closest companion is Chocolate Sundae, a retired Standardbred racehorse. For the uninitiated, this implies that Waco has been in existence for a century!
A piece of trivia for everyone’s enjoyment. On January 1st, every horse in North America celebrates their birth. I had no idea about that! You may learn more about Waco’s remarkable ancestors by researching his pedigree. When Waco was first adopted by MacAdams, he wasn’t eating. They formed a bond after spending a significant amount of time together.
They’ve become inseparable in the eight years since then, and haven’t slept apart once. What a wonderful bond these two have. After reading this, I feel privileged to be involved with the equestrian community.
