Dogs are known for their incredible loyalty, but the way the Golden Retriever shows loyalty to its family is beyond words.
A loyal one-year-old puppy from China has embarked on a tireless search – alone – in a desperate attempt to find her family, after temporary owners left her with a friend. Although she severely injured her leg along the way, due to the rough terrain, that didn’t stop Ping An from walking more than 62 miles in nearly 14 days to reunite with those she loves.
She found her way to hometown, but the exhausted dog was eventually lost and was eventually rescued by a group of workers who found her in front of an office building in Qidong City. According to local newspapers, the men managed to track down the owner and were happily reunited.
When they made plans to renovate their entire home, the young family from the city of Qidong in eastern China asked one of their friends who lives 62 miles away to look after their Golden Retriever during this time. But nearly four months later, when a friend called and said that Ping An was missing, both of them were in tears.
The heartbroken owner thought he had lost her forever, but little knew that the Golden Retriever was ill and ran home to find his family. However, after two weeks and over 62 miles of walking, the dog was found to be confused and very sad that she could not find her family in front of the building. Luckily, some caring staff found Ping An, took a few pictures of her and shared it on the popular Chinese app WeChat to find her family.
The post went viral very quickly, and in less than a day, the loyal Golden Retriever reunited with her parents in a very touching moment. The owner was very happy to reunite with dog and promised never to leave the dog again.
“Ping An, you did a good job,” said the man. “From now on, you just stay home. We will never let you go.”
