A friendly street cat showed a night at the door of a workplace and asked to allow her to enter. About a month ago, Kay was in her office on a rainy night when she heard something outside the door that sounded like a cat. She screamed closer to her and saw a cat meowing desperately and begging to be let in. She immediately contacted her roommate, Lauren Keim, for help. “It was raining and very cold so we knew we had to bring it at least at night,” said Lauren Love Meow. “I met Kay at work with our other roommates to drive him home. We bathe it. We were all sitting on the floor while she explored a room that we had prepared for her. ”
The cat was very thin, dehydrated, hungry, and rough around the edges. As soon as he got a plate of food, she devoured it in a minute. Just as they were debating whether to find a way to help him, the cute tabby cat snuggled into Lauren’s lap and fell asleep, his face buried in the blanket. “He crawled onto my lap and fell asleep. Then I knew he was mine. I feel like he chose me in that moment, ”shared Lauren Love Meow.
They decided to name him Chuck after the president of the company where he was found. At the vet clinic, Chuck was 13 years old and had no microchip. They found an abscess on his front leg, most likely due to an infection of the bite wound, and also stated that he had a broken hind leg that required amputation.
The vet believed that the cat had lived with a broken leg for a long time and that the surgery would improve its quality of life. Chuck was the champion on all visits and was very grateful for your help. “He’s getting used to living on three legs after surgery, but he’s moving faster now than when we found him,” said Lauren Love Meow.
As Chuck continues his treatment, his true identity is revealed. The tabby cat has become a real worm and wants to be constantly petted and adored. There is no personal space in Chuck’s world. It will lie on Lauren’s chest, on her neck, as close to her face as possible. “Without even knowing everything he’s been through, Chuck has such a relaxed personality. His favorite pastime is just to fool around. She also loves her hugs and the time she eats, ”Lauren said. “He’s so much nicer now, as if he showed me that he trusts me and he shows me love in return.”
Lauren’s daily routine has changed since Chuck found her that day. Every morning she wakes up to a kitten alerting her to Chuck, telling her it’s time to feed him. Before going to bed, you need to spend time with the purring cat, hiding around its neck. “He’s really stupid and overall I feel like all he wanted is to feel safe and love. I’m glad he chose me to leave it to him, ”Lauren shared with Love Meow. “I don’t know what I did to be chosen by him, but I love being his person.”
