Richard Faiers Shows The Process Of Hot Shoeing A Horse

Posted on November 25, 2021 by senad

Very popular with all farriers, we are confident that all horse owners are familiar with “hot shoes”. The purpose of this method is to create a soft surface between the hoofs and seal the severed tubules to prevent them from drying out in a dry environment. It’s a long and demanding process, but if done correctly, you’ll get the shoes that fit the best.

You need to be very careful not to hurt its feet during hot shooting. This is because slips can cause serious cuts and blemishes on the foot. Below is a picture of this complex process by a well-versed and skilled farrier, Richard Faiers. It is no exaggeration to say that he is one of the best farriers in the world.

He does a great job with a big Clydesdale horse, but of course it’s not easy. This is a difficult process, but he makes it look very simple and all of his techniques are very detailed as you can see. Many call him a horse whisper because he can easily handle the majestic horseshoes.

Although doing this without damaging the horse requires special skills, Richard is very kind and pays attention to the horse. It must be added that Clydesdale horse is very nice and interact with Richard, who is very patient and focused on his work. Enjoy the video!
