Once He Had A Cup Of Tea, A Police Horse Is Prepared For The Morning Duty

Posted on January 1, 2023January 1, 2023 by senad

Jake apparently “refuses to get out of bed until he is provided a warm cup of tea,” according to Merseyside Police. Jake, the tea-drinking horse, has in fact received a lot of positive attention online. Many of us find it difficult to start working each day without the aid of a cup of coffee or tea to fully awaken us.

The police pony in the UK went through a same situation. Over the course of his extensive career, Jake has developed a fondness for tea and is unlikely to start his shift without his daily mug.

According to Metro News, Jake allegedly began to consume tea after secretly taking a sip from his rider’s cup. When the 20-year-old horse begins daily inserting his mouth in his rider’s cup, the Merseyside Police Mounted Section now includes him in their morning cup of tea.

Jake will apparently wait in his stable in Allerton, Liverpool, each morning for his own huge cup to be brought to him before agreeing to start working, according to the Daily Mail.

According to Merseyside Police, who tweeted a video of Jake sipping his morning coffee, Jake won’t get out of bed until @tetleyuk hands him a warm cup of tea. He is equipped for the day once he has eaten this.

Social media users are ecstatic about Jake’s video. When it was published on Twitter a week ago, over 2 lakh people had seen it and had left a ton of hilarious comments. According to Lindsey Gaven, director and trainer of the Merseyside Police Mounted Division, who talked with the Daily Mail, Jake is one of the twelve horses we get at the stable to train with us.

We consider Jake to be a horse with a lot of personality. We are all accustomed to his tea order: while he is capable of accepting one honey, it is obvious that he prefers receiving two.
