Rudy was one of the millions of puppies abandoned in animal shelters each year. But unlike other dogs, Rudy was sadly unfit for the human eye because he really endured traumatic events. Her illnesses included beatings, fractures of her hips, scabies, and ear and eye infections. She was in a very pitiful state, she had little chance of surviving, and she was to be defeated.
However, the dog was miraculously rescued by a Houston Stray Dogs just hours before the scheduled death sentence. It was the best in the world at that moment to see him waving his tail as he was rescued from death row and enjoying his first meal. However, this does not mean that Rudy’s journey is over. For months he received various treatments, injections and medications to cure his various physical problems.
With love, care, and medical care, Rudy has transformed from a sick dog to a full-haired smiling dog ready for adventure. But one big problem remained. Rudy needed a complete hip arthroplasty to be able to live as a normal dog. His hip fracture prevented him from moving and running normally.
Houston Street Dog has launched a You Caring campaign to raise the funds needed for Rudy’s surgery. Fortunately, they have already achieved their original financial goals. I sincerely hope that the surgery will be successful and Rudy will soon get up and go inside. Dogs definitely deserve it.
