Meet The Giant Alaskan Malamute – The 40kg Arctic Sled Dog

Posted on January 4, 2022January 5, 2022 by senad

We can all agree that dogs are amazing, loyal, lovable, adorable and what’s  not to love! A video showing the grooming of a giant Alaskan Malamute has gone viral and netizens are loving it! See for yourself: What is an Alaskan Malamute?

The history of these dogs is rooted in a very long history. 5000 years ago, the first settlers of North America kept these puppies for work and as companions. They are closely related to other famous breeds such as Siberian Huskies, Samoyeds, and even Labradors. They require a lot of work to keep one of your own. Being a sled dog, they need regular exercise. They do not bark very often, but they can be very loud and noisy. Of course, they have historically been used for Arctic expeditions, so they can withstand very cold temperatures.

They helped early North American settlers hunt, chase, tow gear, tow sleds, and find potential bears.
