Fatherless Polar Bear Love To Cuddle With The Arctic Workers Who Saved Her Live.

Posted on November 25, 2021 by senad

Despite the fact that bears are one of the largest predators on the planet, living in the wild is extremely difficult for orphans. This polar bear cub unfortunately found herself in a desperate situation after her mother passed away!

With the cubs having to rely on their mother to feed and protect them until they are about 2.5-3 years old, fate seemed closed for the cub a few months old after she was orphaned. Luckily for her, help comes from an unlikely place! At this age, cubs have difficulty feeding. Hungry and confused, the young bear approached a group of arctic gold mine workers and begged for food.

The bear was alone on the Bolshevik Islands on Russian territory beyond the Arctic Circle. She was fascinated by the smell of food emanating from a group of people working in the island’s gold mines. Despite extremely strict regulations that forbid feeding polar bears, miners broke them to save the starving animal.

For several months, the polar bear stayed close to the people who saved her. She even spent time hugging them. But when the gold miner’s contract expired, they had to leave the island and leave the polar bear alone again. But they were ready to do everything in their power to help the poor creatures be saved. They efforts have finally paid off!

Andrey Gorban, Director of the Royev Ruchey Zoo, explained, “Workers could only contact us at the end of the job assignment because there was no communication channel at the base.” “We were told that men were returning to the mainland, and the cub was left there alone. So our only hope was that they left a rather large landfill and the cub had a chance to eat it in a few weeks. ”

After a few weeks, the polar bear was finally rescued at the Moscow Zoo, from where it could be moved to a permanent home. But that’s not going to be the nature, because she’s been exposed to too many people. Anyway, if it weren’t for these workers, the bear would not have existed for a long time. In fact, the miners’ decision to break the no-feed rule was ultimately welcomed by wildlife officials.

“Andrei Gorban said, “Whether it’s right or wrong, they tame endangered animal by feeding her.” “The workers saved her live, because the cub didn’t have a chance to live.”
