Beauty, an eight-month-old German Shepherd, is still healing after she fell out of the bed of a pickup truck and was dragged alongside of it in Mead Valley, California.
After sustaining serious injuries from the incident, Beauty was brought to Riverside County Department of Animal Services. She had abrasions on her paws and abdomen as a result of being dragged.
The driver told police that she didn’t realize the dog fell out of her truck or hear witnesses trying to flag her down because she “was playing loud music,” but the incident still remains an open investigation.
Now that she is almost totally recovered, she is ready for adoption! Beauty is a very friendly, energetic pup who deserves a loving home.
Veterinarians treated Beauty’s wounds and changed her bandages daily. Today, her wounds are almost fully healed and she has gained ten pounds since she was brought in.
