A dog hit by a car was once found on the streets of Peru by Sara Moran, ilovemydogsomuch writes. Having a great love for dogs, Sara rescued the dog and spent many sleepless nights to take care of him. However, when she realized the dog was paralyzed due to his injuries, she unintentionally embarked on becoming the caretaker of sick and injured dogs in her community.
When Sara became aware of the problems facing sick and homeless dogs in the community, she began rescuing them one by one and bringing them home. Over the next decade, she saved the lives of several injured and broken doggies on the street. When she found herself living with over 70 rescued dogs in her tiny home, she finally decided to turn her home into a full-fledged dog sanctuary!
Named “Milagros Perrunos” (which translates as “Miracles Dogs”), Sara now provides shelter and health care for hundreds of dogs. She specializes in caring for paralyzed and amputated dogs and has used a wheelchair to rescue dogs several times. She also received quite a few victims of abuse and mistreatment.
Sara feeds the disabled dogs and changes them diapers throughout the day. She installed cozy cots in her home to make her paralyzed, sick or recovering dogs feel as comfortable as possible.
With the help of her wonderful volunteers, she takes the dogs to the local beach to play and run like the happiest dogs! As these dogs thrive under Sara’s care, so it’s no surprise that many dogs get good homes despite their physical disabilities!
Our hearts are lifted by Sara’s merciful crusade and her passion to heal “broken” animals. She is a true superhero because of her desire to give a better life to the downtrodden homeless animals. She is a role model and good luck to her!
