A bear rescued from a bile farm has the sweetest reaction when he realizes he is finally free. Locked in tiny cages for nearly a decade, the giant animal couldn’t believe its eyes when it was swimming for the first time. His uncontrollably excited reaction has been filmed and it’s simply heartwarming!
But this wouldn’t be possible without the friendly people at Animals Asia, a Hong Kong-based charity dedicated to saving animals in need. Thanks to them, many wild creatures have been saved from their saddest lives. That’s what happened to Tuffy, a moon bear. For too many years, the friendly bear has been kept in captivity and used for medical purposes at a bile farm.
After more than nine years of hard work by animal rights activists, Tuffy has finally had the opportunity to live in peace. The bear, rescued from the misery of being forced to live, was taken to an animal shelter in Asia. But the hard life he went through caused too much physical and mental wounds to the poor bear.
However, neither her poor eyesight nor her multifunctional jaw prevented Tuffy from fully enjoying her moment of freedom. Brought to a beautiful reserve in Vietnam, the rescued bear is about to swim for the first time in his life. But not until he gets surgery and makes a full recovery!
Louise Ellis of Animals Asia wrote on the charity’s website, “After years of running out of water, this should be a real oasis for Tuffy after a long, dry and excruciating pain.”
Please watch the touching moment when Taffy enters the swimming pool for the first time and jumps like a baby!
