The love between a mother and her child is the most powerful force on Earth. Animals also have a special bond with babies. The touching video below demonstrates the unique bond between mother and baby.
Gorillas are also a very social creatures, and the bond between the mother and her descendants is always special. This Western Lowland gorilla melts your heart with a bond with a new baby right after birth. Calaya, 15-years old, is a resident of the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C. When she was about to give birth for the first time in 10 years, it was a special moment for everyone there.
The moment was even more special because the Western Lowland gorilla is an endangered species. But what caught everyone’s attention was the affectionate scene of the mother and the newborn baby. Shortly after birth, Calaya picked up her priceless child and began to shower him with lots of kisses and hugs.
Emotional scenes show that animals are just like humans when it comes to emotions. Calaya wanted her newborn baby to feel all the love she had for her from the very first moment in the world. These delightful moments were captured on camera and posted online by the zoo! Here is the video!
