I’ve heard many heroic stories about the man’s best friend who saved him from a dangerous situation. This is another story about a four-legged friend who has been welcomed as a hero for fighting rattlesnakes while rescuing the owner and suffering a horrific bite in the process.
Todd is a golden retriever who accompanies owner Paula Goodwin on a hike in Anthem, Arizona, and after a while encounters a deadly rattlesnake. Rattlesnakes are known to be one of the most toxic snakes in the world, killing thousands of people around the world. When Paula unknowingly tried to step on the rattlesnake, Todd found the snake and immediately jumped in front of her feet.
He saved Paula, but unfortunately his hero bit his face badly and his face was badly swollen. Paula posted a photo of Todd on the wall of her Facebook with the caption that he is her hero and savior. Paula immediately drove Todd to the Anthem Animal Hospital, where she was treated. He expects a full recovery.
His photo, with a big smile despite his injury, has become a hot topic on social media. There, his newly found fans praise what he did to save the owner’s life.
Well, dogs don’t expect anything in return for their service to humans. They just want to be loved.
