Scooter is a Chihuahua who used to live in a nice house. Sadly, the dog’s owner passed away and he had to fend for himself. He was taken to a local homeless shelter. They are not as common as young dogs. Instead, the average adopter will want to choose their own puppy. This leaves Scooter-loving dogs with not many options to choose from.
Seeing him experiencing such a difficult time, the shelter staff felt very miserable to him and shared his ritual on Facebook. Stay safe. Scooter is not the only case of older puppies being taken to a safe haven after their owner. This happens regularly when no one can take care of them after their owners take off.
However, Scooter was successful, and after his Facebook post touched a lot of people, gifts to adopt him began to fly. Jessica Lynn Howard was one of many who questioned the condition of the dog giving him the love and care he wanted to heal his injured heart.
His new always-home scooter has different dog brothers and seems to love them there. He changes his attitude, playing with his new family and laughing, but his movements are remembered by his first beloved owner.
