In an astonishing display of affection and sympathy, a dog mimics its injured owner and spreads the word. The couple became famous on social media after the owner shared the emotional moment online. However, what initially worried the man turned out to be nothing more than an act of solidarity on the part of the dog.
Russell Jones of London, England was forced to use crutches after injuring his ankle. But when the man took his 8-year-old stray, Billy, for a walk, he noticed something strange. The dog suddenly began to limp. Worried, Jones rushed him to the vet to find out what had happened to his dog.
The owner involved spent around £300 ($400) scanning and X-rays of Billy, only to find out that his dog was actually mimicking him out of sympathy. And every time they went for a walk together, sweet Billy limped like his friend. Anyway, later that week, the lurcher was caught red-handed by Jones’ wife, Michelle, who spotted him sprinting around the backyard.
“He came in normally, and when he came out, they said they found nothing wrong with him,” Jones said. “I spent £300 on the vet and the x-rays, nothing bad, just sympathy. Love him. ”
Stunning pictures of Jones with his dog next to him have gone viral on social media, sparking reactions from around the world. “He’s copying you. Awesome! Even though you have my sympathy for the vets bill,” one person wrote. While another added, “He showed compassion for you! Wishing you both well.”
