Jason Bos, a retired Army Sergeant, has a special bond with his military dog Cici. They protected and provided much-needed love and company to one another on over 100 missions and for over 5 years.
Cici was in charge of bomb detection and served on the military frontlines all over the world, defending her fellow soldiers in places like Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq from unexpected situations. When Sergeant Bos was returned home, the military concluded that Cici’s mission was not completed. She planned to stay in war-torn areas for another year.
When Cici was finally retired, Sergeant Bos was overjoyed at the prospect of reuniting with her and began the process of officially adopting her so she could live with him indefinitely. When she finally arrived home, Bos and dozens of reporters were waiting for her at the airport. Her heartfelt story piqued the interest of local news organizations.
Before she even sees Bos in this footage, Cici recognizes his voice and jumps with joy to see her old pal again. We’re ecstatic that this moment was caught on camera.
Sergeant Bos and Cici, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! It’s wonderful to see videos like this, and I hope that all military dogs have similarly wonderful retirements with their comrades.
