Each and every dog is a good dog. They are deserving of a forever home. However, not all of them are as fortunate. They have been waiting for adoption for a very long time. Some even can’t wait for good people to come and help them. This is something that no one wants to happen.
In this story, King Zeus, the senior pit bull, finally finds his angel. The homeless dog must have been through a lot while living on the streets. His face was covered in scars.
The 9-year-old Weimaraner/Pit bull mix was brought to Indiana’s Humane Society for Hamilton County (HSHC) in April. He appears rough and rugged, but he is a sweet and gentle giant.
“With his soulful eyes and love for pets and cuddles, he quickly became a staff favorite. Zeus adores humans of all ages, including children!” The HSHC wrote.
King Zeus was left behind at the Adoption Event after 299 other dogs due to his appearance. Nobody took a moment to look at the poor dog.
People’s hearts were also tightened as a result of the dog’s reaction. He just sat quietly in his crate, watching people pass by. “He never barks to get people’s attention. It’s almost as if he’s given up hope of ever finding a forever home.” HSHC wrote.
When his rescuers noticed this, they were perplexed and saddened. The good dog should have been adopted right away. He had earned it.
“It’s just too difficult for King Zeus to live with other dogs,” HSHC explained on his adoption page. “However, we know that he did well with the children with whom he lived and that he loves humans above all else.”
King Zeus, on the other hand, was able to smile for the first time after finding a forever home. Austin Smith discovered the special dog after the adoption event and took him home.
“Today, after months of waiting, King Zeus found his forever home! Thank you to everyone who shared this post and sent him your thoughts and wishes,” HSHC cheerfully wrote on Facebook.
King Zeus eventually found his family. Hope that he enjoys living here!
