The Golden Retriever catcher has learned many new tricks since joining the Menzies family, but what he seems to have adopted alone is the act of disappearing.
Lisa Menzies wasn’t in town when the catcher escaped from his home in Castle Pines, Colorado.
The family was doing some work ,while they were away when the contractor left. He closed the front door behind him, but while he was leaving, a gust of wind blew the door and the catcher started running.
When Lisa heard the news, she was overwhelmed, fearing that her dog might be out on a busy road.
“She may have been walking on a busy road and I don’t want to think about what happened,” she told Fox31News.
But when she thought she had lost all hope, she received a text message from the FedEx driver.
“I found your dog,” he said. “The address on your label is where I am going to take her.”
When Lisa and her family returned home, footage from their ring doorbell camera allowed the generous FedEx driver to “deliver” their beloved dog.
Lisa was overwhelmed by the driver to return her family’s three-year-old beloved pet.
“He treated her very affectionately and lovingly,” she said, adding that she even confirmed that the door was properly closed after him.
I’m glad the dog didn’t walk around in the snow for too long.
