Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac in Serbia received a call from a stranger who was concerned about a dog hiding in the snow inside a pipe.
So the rescue team ran to save Hera and her babies. While Hera was very confident, her puppies were terrified, but the team was still able to save them and now they are all safe at the shelter. It’s hard to imagine what would have happened to Hera and her puppies if the rescue team didn’t arrive in time to save them from the cold in the drainage pipe.
Fortunately, locals saw Hera going in and out of the pipe covered in snow. As if she was waiting for someone to come and help her. In January, the Mladenovac Dog Shelter in Serbia received a call for help from a stranger and they immediately stepped in to help. As soon as Hera saw their team, she rushed out to greet them immediately! She is surprisingly calm and friendly and her beautiful blue eyes seem to tell them her puppies need help!
But her babies were scared. They were a little skeptical and unfortunately stayed where they were and out of the reach of rescuers.
The team had to be creative to lure them out. At first, they tried to get them to follow their mother, but that didn’t work. They also tried to put food at the entrance of the pipe, but they were still afraid to move and soon got dark.
So they had to take a pretty brave step to get them out. They first secured Hera in the van, then the rescuer went to the other side of the pipe. Another one used a stick to push the puppies until they were within reach of the rescuer.
Shortly thereafter, all three puppies were in safe hands!
After reuniting with her puppies, Hera gave the rescuers a look of gentle appreciation. Her gaze told them “thank you for saving us”.
