Lonely Shelter Dog Is Longing For Love, So She Tries To Clasp Hands With Everybody Going By

Eden has always had a sweet soul, as seen by the way she greeted Good Samaritans with a delicate tail wag when she was a stray dog lying under a tree and they went by to offer her food. She can’t stop reaching her paw through her cage to hold hands with anyone passing by as she waits for a permanent home at an animal hospital. Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy dog rescue, found Eden living under a tree in Southern California and rescued her, however the reason for her homelessness is unknown.

Despite being fed by visitors, no one had come to her aid, so Hall took her home as soon as she learnt of her condition. Eden’s mood improved when she saw Hall. “She was under that tree for weeks and weeks,” Hall explained to The Dodo. “She refused to leave, but she knew it was time for her to stop living under the tree.” Hall and her colleagues bathed Eden after taking her to the vet. It was when they learned she was dangerously underweight and suffering from a terrible skin disease that they realized she needed help.

Eden’s personality emerged with time, and she was transferred to a private kennel where she could relax and recover. Eden spent the majority of her time curled up in her bed at first. A hospital employee stopped by her kennel one day and observed a single grey and white paw through the bars. “She is the sweetest dog you could ever meet,” the woman remarked. “She’s just a lover.”

Eden has been extending her paw to anybody who walks by her kennel since that time, and she has received many pleasant handshakes during her stay at the veterinary facility. Despite her exuberant personality, the lovable pup has yet to meet her perfect match, since she struggles to feel at ease with other dogs after being on the streets for an extended amount of time. “She just wants to hold our hand,” Hall remarked. “She’ll hold your hand and then make the sweetest howl ever, as if she’s saying, ‘I love you.'”

Despite the fact that the search for a suitable family is taking longer than expected, Hall is certain that Eden will win the hearts of the appropriate family. As the rescuer observes, it is impossible not to fall in love with the endearing puppy. Meanwhile, Eden will continue to promote pleasure and compassion in the animal hospital one handshake at a time. While some may take Eden’s actions as a need for attention, Hall believes she is signaling something else. “She deserves it more than anybody[a home],” Hall said. “Everyone falls in love with her. She’s just a cuddler and a total sweetheart.”
